If you can’t tell, I am a software developer living in Atlanta, Georgia, with my wife and three children. Despite not having a Computer Science degree, I don’t consider myself a self-taught software developer. I hold a degree in Mechatronics Engineering, which involves a lot of coding, from microcontrollers to complex robotic systems. Thus, my experience has made me a well-rounded software developer.

Software Development. The current languages I find myself coding the most are Java and Typescript for work and Dart, primarily for Flutter, for my personal projects. I may start coding in Python again soon, as I used it in college. With all of the recent advancements in AI, it only seems proper to stay relevant in the ever-changing software development landscape. Also, I would love to be considered one of these enigmatic 10x developers one day.

My Family. I have an immense love for my family. I consider it a great honor to be married to my phenomenal wife, Tara. I am incredibly blessed to have three exceptional children with whom I get to share my life every day. Without them, my life would be colorless, bland, and void of real purpose.

What To Expect From Me.

This blog will be a space where I share my journey as a software developer, a husband, a father, and an individual navigating the complexities of life. Here are a few things you can look forward to:

  • Insights into Software Development: I’ll share tips, tricks, and insights from my experiences with Java, TypeScript, Dart, and potentially Python. Whether you’re a seasoned developer or just starting, I hope to provide valuable content to help you in your coding journey.
  • Family Life: Balancing a demanding career with family life is no small feat. I’ll share some of my experiences and lessons learned in being a supportive husband to Tara and a present father to Sophia, David, and Phoenix. Expect stories, challenges, and perhaps tips on managing this delicate balance.
  • Personal Growth: As someone who aspires to be a 10x developer and is constantly looking to grow, I’ll share my thoughts on personal development, continuous learning, and striving for excellence in all areas of life.
  • Technology and Faith: My biblical worldview shapes how I operate daily, and my faith is integral to my life. I love finding parallels between Christianity and science. From time to time, I’ll explore how faith intersects with technology and how it shapes my views.
